Welcome to the web site of the Statewide Clinical Outreach Program for the Elderly. Trinitas Regional Medical Center, in collaboration with the New Jersey Institute for Successful Aging (NJISA) at UMDNJ, provides crisis response and clinical outreach to older adults (55+) residing at nursing facilities who experience mental health and/or behavioral crisises.
S-COPE provides on-site assessments, consultations and clinical interventions at screening centers, psychiatric inpatient units and within long term care facilities. The team provides 24/7 response. All services are provided free of charges.
S-COPE offers in-service trainings, on-site coaching of staff, short term counseling to residents and consultations with staff and families. Nine regional trainings on topics relevant to the cognitive, behavioral and mental health of older adult nursing home residents are provided throughout the year, free of charge.

Save The Date For Our 2018 Conference!
Trinitas Regional Medical Center is proud to present S-COPE's Annual Conference on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 from 8:00am – 4:30pm. This year, we have expanded our conference and partnered with NJLTCLC, also known as the New Jersey Long-Term Care Leaders Coalition. It will be hosted at the National Conference Center in the Holiday Inn/East Windsor, 399 Monmouth St., East Windsor, NJ.
The main topic will be: "Making Noise About The Quiet Drug Problem in Long Term Care." We are looking to expand our collaboration with NJLTCLC (a.k.a. OPT Communications). Our target audience has expanded and includes disciplines such as Nursing Home Administrators, Medical Directors, Doctors, Nurses, Dietitians, Social Workers, Pharmacists, Screeners, and more. We will be looking to get continuing education credits for various disciplines.
